Our new advisory committee is comprised of citizens who are effected by proximity to the plant as well as experts. The committee is:
Dr. David L. Parry, PE, BCEE
Dr. David L. Parry is a Heber resident and has a global reputation for providing sustainable solutions to recover resources from wastewater. He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in mechanical engineering from Brigham Young University and his Ph. D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Parry is a registered mechanical and civil engineer in several states. He is a board certified environmental engineer (BCEE) with the American Academy of Environmental Engineers & Scientists. Dr. Parry has over 40 years of experience in researching, planning, designing, and providing construction and operational consulting for wastewater treatment, sollids processing, and bioenergy projects. He has authored more than 50 technical papers and was the lead author of the chapter on anaerobid digestion in the WEF/WERF/EPA Solids Process Design and Management Manual.
Bryan Atwood, P.E.
Bryan Atwood is a recently retired Civil Engineer living in Heber City, Utah. He spent ten years with the Utah Division of Water Quality as a project engineer, working with communities throughout the stated to implement new public wastewater collection and treatment systems in previously un-sewered areas or to upgrade existing systems. Prior to retiring in 2022, he served twenty years as the District Engineer for the Snyderville Basin Water Reclamation District in Park City, responsible for all engineering aspects of a large wastewater collection system.
Ann Zimmerman
Ann is currently a Heber resident. She was the Resource Manager, deputy Director of Public Works for a county in Central California. She received a statewide award for Outstanding Environmental Policy Analysis by California Association of Counties. She has a Masters in Public Administration and a graduate certificate in Alternative Dispute (mediation, facilitation and arbitration) and a certified practitioner by the Internation Association of Public Involvement.
Ellen Collette
Ellen is a current Midway resident and a retired nurse practitioner.
Ben Severson
Ben is a current Midway resident and has a degree in chemical engineering.
